Schwartz Jambois is proud to announce that former Cook County judge John S. Fotopoulos has joined the firm as a practicing attorney. Fotopoulos Law Office, is located in Orland Park, Illinois, with a Joliet office opening soon.

Fotopoulos previously owned a law firm in Orland Park, in which he represented clients in criminal defense and personal injury law. He left his practice in 2017 when he was appointed to fill a judge vacancy.

“I am excited to return to working directly with clients in the same town that was my practice’s home for several years,” Fotopoulos said.

Orland Park attorney John S. Fotopoulos founded his practice in 2000 on the principle of providing available and affordable legal counsel to all clients. He dedicates himself to continued legal research to better serve his clients and stay ahead of the competition.

Fotopoulos received the Client Satisfaction Award from the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys, American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys, and American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys in 2014 and 2015. The National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys named him a Nationally Ranked Top 10 Attorney in 2013.

Fotopoulos is a member of several professional associations, including the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Hellenic Bar Association, City Club of Chicago, Cook County Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Fotopoulos received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1992 and a juris doctor from the John Marshall Law School in 2000.
